We have introduced stainless steel water tanks and fittings to the NSW Mid North Coast after trying to find a healthy way of storing water for own own house. For over 20 years, we have been designing and sourcing products for our own “Healthy Home”. Our goal is to minimise or eliminate (whichever was most practical) chemicals from our lifestyle.

After researching which water tank was the best and safest choice, water storage became a real dilemma. Plastic tanks were never on the agenda due to bushfire issues, however, our research showed even more reasons why to not have plastic. This is why “Aquaplate” was no longer an option as it has a polymer coating inside.

Concrete tanks became the only alternative. Lyn was not sold on this idea either. Working in a soil & water testing laboratory for over 10 years she met people who stored their water in concrete tanks and wanted it tested because it tasted awful and was causing skin irritation after showering. Testing identified, on many occasions, that the pH of the water was about 8-9 which is highly alkaline. This was caused by the lime in the concrete tanks leaching into the water.

There appeared to be no safe choices for our water storage …until NOW!
